  • First page flip in my new home. I feel like a pioneer. This site could carry a lot more load, though.

  • So, let´s see. What is occupying the industry at this time? The Microsoft tax is a given. In the future, every time you buy a new machine or add hardware or software to it, you will have to pay microsoft a fee. And if it is only for a call you have to give them. They will decide wether you are allowed to upgrade or not. What happens if you switch machines and need a new code? Our machines never stay the same for long. We always take things out and put new stuff in. What will Microsoft do? Would we have to buy a lot of licenses for the same computer in the future? They say we wouldn´t but in the end it is their goodwill we´d depend on. Not a good situation. And what about companies with hundreds of thousands of PCs? They need an extra person just to call Microsoft all the time...

  • Luckily I mostly have Macs. But I think the same will happen with Microsoft Office for the Mac.
