What to do?

I recently pondered the idea of starting a website to document all the little annoyances that german entrepreneurs have to face. The problem is that it won´t do me personally much good. I might draw attention to the fact that there are a terrible number of things a company has to do to keep bureaucrats at the various government agancies happy or that the governmental agancies start to force you to use Microsoft Windows (a scandal of corruption is lurking somewhere behind that story) but I won´t be happy doing it. All this energy wasted. I am not the only one that suffers from this anyways. So I guess it is kind of fair. (Except for the things that are equally expensive for a small company with 20 employees and a big company with 25,000). - Discuss

Why Microsoft is going to url the web...

Well, I hope they won´t but chances are slim.

Dave points to John for an explanation. I say it is even worse, I think. Not only will Service providers have to pay a fee, Microsoft will pull a considerable number of your customers over from your sites, even charging them to view your sites.

It is a long term strategy for Microsoft to earn by content. The scary aspect is that apparently they want to earn by my content. Everyone will work for them making them money. What do we get in return? The worst software and services imaginable.

You don´t believe that? If you want to do business today, you need to have Word and Excel and recently, even PowerPoint. People assume that you have it and send you mails with attachments in Word format. More people even use word to write the mail and in the future, you will of course need Word to read these mails.

It is terribly annoying. - Discuss
