At 6 am, Peter wakes me up. "Quick, get your camera, the sun is rising." I take the picture:
Seconds later, someone turns off the sun. We can¥t believe our eyes:
Peter must have had a little too much to drink while I was asleep.
Half an hour later, the sun is being turned on again:
We start the day with a sight-seeing tour that is hosted by Paul. First stop is Twin Peaks with its spectatcular view of downtown. Of course there are scores of tourists from Germany. Some Americans not so fluent in english try to sell souvenir shirts. They have 5 kinds. Every one of the dealers has the same shirts. Maybe they cross sell?
Next stop obviously with the view of the bridge. Some Fort has been converted and there is a large parking lot.
Last stop Fort Point right beneath the bridge on the south side. Peter is a great photographer. You need to be very flexible (most notably at the knees) to get good shots.
He is rewarded with quite cool images. The Fort has a strict design which results in interesting geometric structures.
Also the Golden Gate Bridge reveals its unique architecture when viewed from below.
From the top of the fort, the view is more conventional.
