Port Angeles - Port Townsend - Ferry - Insignificant Island - Ferry - Bothell
Well, what can I say. I was lucky to get there in time.
I was sleeping very well again, although maybe a little to long. I figured, it would take me 4 hours to get to Bothell for the meeting. So I enjoy the warm bed just a little longer. Nature is taking a shower anyways. Good for the rain forest.
A short way out of Port Angeles, I get to see the Puget Sound for the first time, as I take a detour into a state park.

I get my breakfast sandwich at the Whistle Stop CafÈ. This one can blow a whistle.
As I get to Port Townsend, I am already late. In addition I need to wait 45 minutes until the ferry departs. I am running late!
With horror I realise that I have to take another ferry to get to Bothell. I decide to stop worrying and enjoy the views. A couple of seaguls has chosen the polls the ferry uses to moor as a new family home. Bad choice, as massive traffic disturbs their mating and everyone can peek into their bedroom. I think they are having second thoughts.
As the ferry departs, I get I nice view of the historical Port Townsend.
As I reach the second ferry, the weather has a sun break as the locals call the gaps in the clouds.
I just love the look of the power that a large boat displays when it accellerates.
The ferry carries a couple of school busses which look and sound like exotic animal transports. The kids are not allowed outside, because it would be impossible to catch them all in the time the ferry takes to cross the Sound.
I take a picture of Seattle.
The locals call this "filtered sun". It seems to be quite common. The weather forcast promises the same weather all weekend. I arrive at my meeting just in time. The people there are nice and they tell me how to get online. I have 150 mail messages waiting, unfortunately not all of them good.
I go to a local restaurant and have a proper steak. It is not as good as the barbeque we enjoyed at the Wheelers place in the beginning of this trip, but I feel I need to have one in a restaurant at least once on this trip.
To be continued with WWDC Trip - Day 14 (Saturday).
