Well, I´ve not been skiing for almost 2 years and I´ve been working very hard and needed a holiday, so I went to my brother who lives in Austria to go skiing.
The snow was ok, although the high temperatures (about 10 C) caused it considerable damage.
Anyways, Preparation is everything. So we gathered around our universal tool and made a Plan.

The next day, we packed our skis and off we went. I got my first speeding ticket on the way to the skiing resort. The damn Austrians flash from behind, so I had no chance to break when they got the car in front of me.
We reached the skiing resort anyways. My mood was on skiing.
I was desperate to get on the runs and wanted to start right off. Unfortunately, some hurdles had to be overcome.

The damn thing wouldn´t let me go!

I remembered that I had a piece if paper with me and best MacGyver style, I picked the lock to the skiing resort.

And off I went... To boldly go where everyone else had been before...

Off to a running start...

Taking in some sun while going up the ski lift.
To give you an idea of the skiing run ahead of us, here is a map of the area:

Of course, I am a "black run man" myself, so the challange was relatively mild.

Unfortunately, there was another of those damn speed traps along the run, and I was FAST. I am probably going to loose my license over this...

Further down, I lost the track, and had a sit in with a tree:

But we had fun! Achim was doing ok, too:

He is a married man, so he had to be more careful, of course. His wife wouldn´t have him back with a broken neck. I was free of such considerations, so I did some huge jumps. Here I am doing the Double Side Wheel Barrel Roll:

And the Eagle:

Although this one did not work out exactly as planned:

But the snow certainly was refreshing and taking the pictures was great fun. When I came home, I realised that I am skiing for almost 30 years now...
